Mark Chadwick
CEO
Mark founded Carbon Clear after a career in the Internet industry. After the birth of his daughter, Mark decided to invest himself full-time into helping to leave a better world for her generation. He brings to Carbon Clear a passion for contributing to the climate change solution, strong business management experience, and an enthusiasm for growing successful entrepreneurial ventures. Mark has an MBA from London Business School and also won the Guardian Unltd Award for social entrepreneurship.
Rupert Clark-Lowes
Consultant
Rupert joined Carbon Clear in 2011 and has worked across a number of areas including Strategy, Measurement & Reporting, Reduction and Compliance. Having studied Geography at King’s College London, Rupert also has previous experience working for a Geotechnical Energy Consultancy, The Grameen Bank Energy Division and a WPP Marketing Agency.
Georgie Debenham
Analyst
Georgie joined Carbon Clear as an Analyst after gaining a first class MSc in Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management from Newcastle University and holds a BSc in Geography and Environmental Management. She has experience of working within the renewable energy sector and developing and implementing a knowledge transfer project using Anaerobic Digestion in rural Kenya. She has delivered a number of energy efficiency and carbon reduction education workshops within a number of communities in the UK and Kenya. Georgie is a member of IEMA and Energy Institute.

Jamal Gore
Managing Director
Jamal co-founded Carbon Clear following a 15 year career managing climate change, sustainable energy and international development projects in Europe, Africa, and North America. Jamal is a Chartered Environmentalist and IEMA Full Member, and chairs the General Policy Working Group for the International Carbon Reduction and Offsetting Alliance (ICROA). He also participated in the development of the British Standards Institute specification on carbon neutrality. Jamal speaks and writes regularly on climate change and carbon management issues, and was a contributing author for the climate change and energy chapters of the recently published IEMA reference handbook. Jamal holds a Master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group, and an MBA from London Business School.
Lee Gullick
Principal Consultant
Lee joined Carbon Clear in 2012 as a Principal Consultant. He has significant expertise in sustainability, the environmental sector and carbon management and has a successful track record for translating strategy into action, whilst helping organisations future proof their business. As an accomplished programme and project manager, he has extensive experience of managing the end-to-end lifecycle of environmental projects from conception through to delivery, and has worked in the UK and abroad, across many sectors of the economy. Some of his clients include: RBS, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank, Aegis Plc, Rathbone Brothers Plc, United Utilities, and Threadneedle Asset Management.
He is a member of the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants (Energy Management Systems) register and an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. Lee holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
James Hall
Chairman
James Hall joined Carbon Clear as Chairman in 2011. James previously held the posts of Managing Partner at Accenture UK and Chief Executive of the Identity and Passport Service.
Rachel Hunter
Communications Manager
Rachel has six years experience of working in communications and public relations in the finance, energy and charity sectors. Rachel’s experience is in communicating accessible and interesting content across a range of online, broadcast and print channels. She also has experience in managing events. Rachel holds a BA degree in International Studies and French from the University of Birmingham. Rachel is covering maternity leave for Clare King.
Steve Jarvis
Head of Resources
Stephen is a member of the management team and manages Carbon Clear’s finance, HR and IT. Prior to joining Carbon Clear he had a 13 year career in the City as an analyst and investor in equities markets, working for leading investment banks and hedge funds including Morgan Stanley, UBS and Lansdowne Partners. Stephen is strongly committed to putting something back into his community and improving the environment, having created the Race2Zero competition within Richmond borough in 2011. The competition has saved 64 tonnes of CO2 and put £8,000 in to the schools system through prize money and sponsorship through a student-led carbon saving competition. Stephen is also the Funding Manager of the Ham Hydro project seeking to build a 500kW run of River hydroelectric plant at Teddington Lock. Stephen holds a Master of Physics Degree from St. Anne’s College Oxford.
Katarina Jones
Senior Consultant
Katarina joined Carbon Clear after completing her Masters Degree in Environment, Politics and Globalisation from King’s College. During her time with Carbon Clear Katarina has worked with various international organisations to develop their carbon strategies, implement carbon accounting software tools and successfully take them through external verification of ISO and PAS compliant footprints. She speaks English, German and Spanish.
Clare King
Communications Manager
Clare has over 10 years experience of business marketing and communications, with a specific focus on the environment and climate change. Clare works with Carbon Clear’s clients to develop their low-carbon communication strategy, build brand value and engage stakeholders to promote sustainable behavioural change. She regularly contributes to Carbon Clear’s white papers on carbon management and climate change, and articles published by industry and mainstream press. Clare holds an MSc in Environmental Economics from Imperial College, London.
Stuart Lemmon
Head of Advisory
Stuart joined Carbon Clear in 2012 bringing over 17 years’ experience in Environmental Consultancy. His career includes a range of operational roles in environmental management, sustainability and risk disciplines. He also has significant experience in consulting sales, marketing and account management. Stuart has experience of working in a wide range of both private and public sectors including process industry, utilities, oil & gas, construction, property, financial services and central and local government. Stuart has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences and an MBA.
Olivier Levallois
Carbon Projects Manager
Olivier Levallois holds a Masters degree in Management from the ESCEM Business School and has several years of experience in both compliance and voluntary carbon markets. His skills include the identification, assessment and development of carbon reduction projects in developing countries to the Voluntary Carbon Standard, the Gold Standard or UNFCCC accreditation. Olivier has experience working directly with project developers to help them deliver and sell their carbon credits on international markets. Olivier speaks fluent French and English..
Marcia Mendes
Office Manager
Marcia has been Carbon Clear’s Office Manager since 2010. Marcia’s previous experience includes working as a Catering and Restaurant Manager for blue chip companies in the UK, and in the Brazilian Civil Service. Marcia speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
Mehmet Olgun
Senior Consultant
Mehmet is a consultant who has worked with Carbon Clear since 2010. He specialises in waste to energy technologies with a focus of anaerobic digestion, and has helped clients with energy efficiency, carbon footprinting and CRC compliance projects. He holds a MSc in Renewable Energy from Newcastle University, a BSc in Physics Engineering and a Certificate in General Entrepreneurship from Hacettepe University. He is also a member of the Energy Institute. Mehmet speaks fluent Turkish.
James Ramsay
Director
James joined Carbon Clear in 2008 after five years in management consultancy and ten years leading rapid growth and transformation in businesses from a diverse range of sectors. His role at Carbon Clear is to help organisations to realise the commercial opportunities from inspiring carbon offsetting programmes, and to harness the power of carbon finance to help developing countries to adapt to the challenges of climate change. James has an MBA from London Business School is also a Director of a West Country leisure business.
Cristina Raventos
Senior Consultant
Cristina studied Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona and holds a first-class MSc Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University. Cristina specializes in producing organisational carbon footprints and, among other projects, has helped a major international financial organisation measure and manage their carbon emission data to the ISO 14064 standard for GHG accounting and verification. Cristina speaks Spanish, Catalan and English
Luke Skillett
Analyst
Luke joined Carbon Clear in 2012 as an Analyst. He has experience in consultancy in the shipping sector with a focus on developing carbon reduction tools. He holds a first class honours degree in Management Science from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
Cameron Wilson
Senior Account Manager
Cameron has worked for Carbon Clear since January 2007. His role within the company is to help organisations gain value out of their carbon neutral programs by working with them to reduce their carbon emissions and providing offset projects that work for their business. Cameron has worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles within the tourism, hospitality and the third sector industries. He has a Diploma of Marketing Management from St George TAFE College in Sydney, Australia.
