John joined Carbon Clear in 2016 following a career in building services design and energy efficiency. John is a Chartered Engineer, specialising in the operational performance within the built environment and industry, design and delivery of energy efficient engineering systems; with an extensive range of energy and water management project experience within differing sectors, including retail, banking, commercial property and manufacturing industries. John is both technical and commercial lead for the Energy Management Solutions service offerings, providing in depth support on projects and for key clients throughout their energy reduction programmes. John is a CIBSE LCC and ESOS Lead Assessor, and has an MSc in Energy and Sustainable Building Design from De Montfort University and an MEng in Mechanical & Automotive Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Analyst

Vaiva joined Carbon Clear in 2014 as an analyst. She holds a degree in Aerospace & Aerothermal Engineering from Cambridge University. Her previous experience includes conducting research within the Aerospace and Defence Industry, with a particular interest in design and production of aircraft.

Sonya Likhtman

Analyst

Sonya joined Carbon Clear in 2015 as an analyst. She holds a first class honours degree and two prizes from the University of Cambridge, where she studied Geography. Her focus at degree level was climate change, political ecology and international development. She has since worked on carbon footprinting and sustainability reporting for several international organisations. Sonya speaks English and Russian fluently and also has experience of sustainability consulting in Singapore, where she looked at energy, waste and employee engagement.

Marketing Assistant

Sam joined Carbon Clear in 2015 as the Marketing Assistant. He studied Spanish and Events Management at Leeds Beckett University. As part of his degree, Sam lived in Spain working on local community projects. Upon his return, he focused the final year of his degree on digital marketing techniques with a focus on buyer behaviour within the events sector. Before joining Carbon Clear Sam held a Marketing Assistant position in the financial sector.
