The aim of the programme is to make Carbon Clear a great place to work by harnessing our DNA, capabilities and enthusiasm to have an impact beyond our company’s and our clients' boundaries. We want to not only practise what we preach with regard to sustainability but also to create an innovative environment for testing new ideas.
Our CClearer responsible approach is defined by three columns: Community, Climate and Colleagues, each led by a Champion.
We intentionally define community in a broad sense: any area where we think we can add value through pro-bono, voluntary or charitable projects.
In 2016 we joined Business in the Community, recognising our wide role as a member of our community, and seeking to learn from best practice in areas such as community involvement and diversity.
We are a small company and our emissions are dwarfed by those of our larger clients. However, we aim to lead by example and reduce our impact on the planet’s resources. Carbon Clear calculate, report and offset all company and employee emissions. Initiatives to achieve our environmental targets include a cycle to work scheme, waste management approach and an office equipment shutdown policy. Additionally, our office is fitted with recycled furniture and carbon neutral pipework.
Responsible behaviour is at the core of our DNA; people typically join our team because they believe passionately about addressing climate change, environmental degradation and resource depletion .
For almost as long as we’ve been in business, we’ve been a corporate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (iema). We support the aims of iema in driving professional standards in our industry, and many of our staff are Associates and benefit from the continuous professional development this status brings.
Our CClearer programme is going from strength to strength. For more information about what we are currently working on, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn.
