A carbon footprint conducted to ISO 14064 or GHG Protocol is the start of your carbon management programme
An organisational footprint will help you to understand the sources of carbon from your company’s operations, including energy use by your offices, processes and business travel. Your carbon footprint is the starting point of your carbon management programme and is required by companies that fall under the UK Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting legislation.
All companies incorporated in the UK and listed on the London Stock Exchange are required by law to include carbon footprint data in their company report. We can help you to comply with these Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting requirements, and help you adapt your data collection and reporting systems to meet your reporting requirements.
Why a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint will present a complete picture of your carbon emissions split by source. This will help you monitor your emissions over time to track progress against your carbon reduction targets and help to identify emission hot spots to help focus emission and energy reduction initiatives.
You should regularly report this data as part of a transparent approach to managing your carbon impact and to comply with mandatory greenhouse gas reporting legislation.
Let us help
Our team of experts will help you establish an appropriate scope for your footprint (what data sources should be included), collect and process the data, apply appropriate conversion factors and calculate carbon emissions.
Add value to your carbon footprint
To gain value from your carbon footprint assessment, we can direct you how to:
Identify carbon reduction opportunities;
Share and communicate your carbon footprint data to your stakeholders;
Use your carbon footprint to fit the requirements of mandatory greenhouse gas reporting;
Comply with legislation.
Our carbon footprints can also be used with the PAS 2060 standard for achieving carbon neutrality. Click here to find out more about becoming carbon neutral.
