Let Carbon Clear simplify the compliance process
We aim to integrate EU ETS compliance into everyday business activity to remove the reporting burden and to ensure ongoing compliance, resulting in the avoidance of fines and penalties.
Qualifying organisations (Total rated thermal input of 20MW) must possess a permit which allows them to emit greenhouse gasses covered by the EU ETS.
Organisations must obtain an EU ETS permit, monitor and report emissions to the relevant bodies. Following this, carbon allowances must also be purchased and surrendered to allow the holder to emit one tonne of CO2.
Under the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, organisations that do report their emissions and surrender allowances will become subject to fines and civil penalties.
